WSGC Student Spotlight - Will Korbitz

Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Will Korbitz! Will is the recipient of a WSGC Undergraduate Research award and is currently a senior studying Engineering Physics at UW-Madison. 

Will Korbitz is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, studying Engineering Physics and Applied Mathematics. He joined Professor Eric Wilcots’ research group at the start of his sophomore year and has been working on understanding the structure of galaxy clusters through computational and machine learning techniques. Over the past year, Will has been working on the research project under UW-Madison’s Sophomore Research Fellowship. 

Outside of class and research, Will is a member of UW-Madison’s club tennis team, competing throughout the school year and enjoying the sport year-round. He also enjoys experiencing Madison’s lakes and trail systems throughout the year.
