First Native American Team in the United States Breaks Mach 1
Congratulations to Northwest Indian College. The nine-member student team, Team Skywalkers, and Advisor Gary Brandt launched “Machness” on April 2, 2014, at Richard Bong State Recreation Area in Kansasville, Wis., at a record-setting speed of 767 mph. The 2014 First Nations Launch Mach 1 Invitational champion rocket will be displayed at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian.
