WSGC Student Spotlight: Juliana Alvarez

Juliana Alverez, Carthage College Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Juliana Alvarez! Juliana is the recipient of the 2022-2023 Undergraduate Research Scholarship and the 2022-2023 Undergraduate Scholarship.

As a freshman at Carthage College, Juliana Alvarez has always shown great interest in building and design. Along with that, her love for everything space and flight-related assured her that she would be designing aeronautic equipment in the future. This led her to pursue a higher education in engineering. Born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, Juliana has positively impacted her community through volunteerism. Juliana graduated from Plainfield South High School with honors, demonstrating her remarkable academic abilities and passion for learning. Juliana received consistently high grades for her strong work ethic and dedication to her studies. Her exceptional work in high school will, without a doubt, follow her to college, and she is eager to delve deeper into engineering.
