WSGC Student Spotlight: Amy Sorge

Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Amy Sorge! Amy is the recipient of a WSGC Undergraduate Research Award and is a senior studying chemistry at Carthage College.

Amy Sorge is a chemistry major at Carthage College and is originally from New Jersey. Sorge has conducted research for three semesters at Carthage College and spent the summer of 2019 at Purdue University to create flow chemistry experiments for Organic Chemistry undergraduate laboratories. She received the Undergraduate Research Award for her work under Dr. Brownholland titled “Micellar-Catalyzed Peptide Coupling Reactions in Continuous Flow Conditions.” When she is not in an academic setting, Amy is playing lacrosse, enjoying nature, or spending time with friends.
