Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Alec DiGirolamo! Alec is the recipient of a Second Stage Space Sciences Award.
Alec DiGirolamo is a sophomore computer science and physics major at Carthage College. His focus is on artificial intelligence research and aerospace engineering. He is involved in multiple projects at Carthage including Magneto-active Slosh Control (MaSC) and research into image compression using neural networks. Alec is also involved in the music program at Carthage and the Carthage Rock Climbing Club. For the future, Alec plans on continuing research in artificial intelligence and aerospace or astronautical engineering.
