Tristan Grams ’17 receives award for best poster presentation at Wisconsin Space Conference

Carthage biology student Tristan Grams ’17 recently presented his research project titled, “Isolation and Analysis of Bacteriophages aboard the International Space Station” at the annual Wisconsin Space Conference in La Crosse, WI. Tristan received an award for the best poster presentation at the conference. He plans to use his award to travel to the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research conference in October, where he will present on research he conducted as an intern this summer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.  

Tristan conducted his research over the past year with Profs. Andrea Henle and Deborah Tobiason in the Biology Department. The project was funded through the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium.  Professor Henle also presented at the Wisconsin Space Conference.
