Small Steps Teaching Space Science Brings Giant Leaps into Space
YERKES January 2017 Workshop:
Ambition, Curiosity, and Reason are taking us into space! Students who are space career ready will be essential in the leap to space industry. Together we can take the steps to help students prepare for this New Space World.
In this workshop we will launch into orbit with the Enterprise In Space (EIS) Program and Yerkes Observatory. You’re invited to join us for this STEAM project-based learning experience to explore the low-Earth orbital environment. This theme opens the doors to present activities associated with microgravity, orbits, and their environment along with Art/English opportunities. All are available in the EIS Acadamy. This is great stuff for both science and non-science 4-12 teachers!
Participants that register by January 10, 2017 will receive some really cool jaw-dropping free classroom demonstrators. Attendees will gain access to the EIS Academy, a free resource with amazing space science and astronomy related lesson plans
NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and CCCR (College, Career and Citizenship Readiness) standards are incorporated in this workshop
