Application Deadline:  October 16, 2015
Award Announcement: December 7, 2015

Sammy signs his name to the article he just published in the Simpson Street Free Press Newspaper about Pluto, the former ninth planet of our solar system.  Another group of students attending A Celebration of Life XX – Wild Weather! at the African American Ethnic Academy and the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center Institute smile brightly as they demonstrate a science experiment that shows the power of a tornado.  While yet another gathering of teachers learn how to bring astronomy alive in the classroom through a course sponsored through the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Crossroads at Big Creek.

Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium strives to raise the level of exposure and interest of K-12 teachers, students, and
the general public in space, aerospace, and space-related science, design, or technology.  By sharing the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), WSGC seeks to increase the interest, recruitment, experience, and training of pre-college students in the pursuit of space- or aerospace-related careers, especially women, minorities, and persons with disabilities.

Beyond the student population, WSGC helps support efforts to build strategic linkages between STEM formal and informal education providers. Grants are available to any established organization.  Matching funds are required.
