Stipend Available: “Beyond ROY G BIV” Course

Astronomical spectroscopy will be the focus for a two-day course at Crossroads at Big Creek Environmental Preserve located in Sturgeon Bay, WI.  The course is available to 3rd-8th Grade teachers throughout the state of Wisconsin.  

Displaying

Coggin Heeringa, Instructor of Biology, will examine how optical, radio, and x-rays can be used to learn about our universe.  The course will delve into plant growth, animal behavior, and mood.  Participants will explore student-focused hands-on activities, bringing the colors of the rainbow alive.  The course is designed to meet Teaching Standards #1, 4, 7, 8, 10.  Registration deadline is May 29, 2015.  Learn More.
