The Front Office attends NFL Scouting Combine and Career Conference
Students from The Front Office had the opportunity to attend the NFL Scouting Combine and the Football Career Conference in Indianapolis on March 1-4.
The Football Career Conference was hosted by Sport Management Worldwide and featured a variety of panels where students had the opportunity to learn from and engage with current and former NFL professionals.
One such panel focused on managing player personnel and was hosted by former NFL general managers Rick Spielman (Minnesota Vikings) and Mark Dominik (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
Other panels included Sports Media (featuring Jen Mueller from Root Sports Northwest and Andrew Siciliano from NFL Network); The Role of an NFL Agent (featuring Kelli Masters, Kristen Kuliga, and Joel Corry); and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the NFL (featuring China Jude from the Denver Broncos and Brian Richardson from the Indianapolis Colts). Students also had the opportunity to hear from the conference’s keynote speaker, Adam Schefter of ESPN.
In addition to sitting in on these panels, students had the opportunity to network with some of the panelists as well as other conference attendees via two different social events.
Portions of the conference included attending the annual NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Scouting Combine is an annual event where NFL Draft prospects meet with NFL teams while participating in on-field drills.
The Front Office is led by President Hanna Snedecor ’23, and other eboard members and attendees JJ Arey ’23, Ethan Peska ’24, Adam Gilmeister ’23, Ayanna Crenshaw ’23, Kamden Truong ’24, and Jake Tomczak ’23.
