Verbatim Theatre Techniques (AI) course offered in spring 2024
Once again, the Carthage Theatre Department is offering THR 3020: Verbatim Theatre Techniques this spring.
Open to all students and fulfilling the Artistic Inquiry credit for general education, the course is built on interviewing people and using their words to create a unique theatre event.
Last year’s class created “Frontline.” Based on interviews with six healthcare workers from across the country, the play told the moving and inspiring story of the people who worked to keep America safe during the dark early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s course topic is the effect of gun violence on the healthcare system. The resulting play will be produced in spring 2025 as part of Carthage’s theatre season.
Please consider joining the class to embark on this unique experience!
