Biography

Eli Marten started at Carthage in 2021 as a student success advisor focusing on first-generation student support at Carthage. He works with Carthage students as they navigate the college system to ensure they get the most out of their experience and become the best version of themselves.

Eli graduated from Marquette University with degrees in Spanish language, literature, and culture and anthropology. He started his career serving as an AmeriCorps member at College Possible Milwaukee, where he supported first-generation college students as they pursued their degrees. He returned to Marquette and earned a graduate degree in Student Affairs.

Eli gained experience working in international education, academic support services, and new student orientation. After graduate school, Eli continued to work with first-generation students through Bottom Line New York and Chicago before transitioning to his role at Carthage College.
