“Carthage helped bring me out of my comfort zone. I have become more outgoing, more willing to speak my mind, and more confident. These traits are something younger me would have never imagined I would have.”
What have you enjoyed most about your career?
“Throughout my career, I have continued to grow and learn more about marketing, as well as the industry that I am working in. Expanding my knowledge is something I enjoy doing, especially because the field is constantly changing. I also love the creativity my job requires because I am such an artistic person. Finding a career that allows me to showcase my creativity was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Why did you choose Carthage?
“I chose Carthage for the home-like feeling it gave me when I visited. I was timid and reserved when I graduated high school, so I wanted a college that made me feel at home.”
What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?
“Professor J.J. Shields helped prepare me for the corporate world. Professor Julio Rivera believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. And Professor Jennifer Madden was someone who helped me to gain confidence in myself.”
