WSGC Student Spotlight: Maddie Shipshock

Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Maddie Shipshock! Maddie is the recipient of the 2022-2023 Industry Internship Program Award.

A student at UW-Madison, Maddie is earning her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in manufacturing. During her final semester of school, she was an Engineering Aide on the Propulsion Systems team at Sierra Space. Projects she’s worked on include 3D printing a life-sized prototype of an upper-stage rocket engine, designing and laser cutting components for assembly fixturing, and CNC tube bending propulsion systems of various applications. She’s learned so many cool things working alongside the talented and brilliant people at Sierra Space and looks forward to contributing more to space exploration!
